#1 Allow user configurable prefix/suffix
Create a mechanism for specifying a string of keystrokes with which to prefix and/or suffix the scanned barcode.
Examples:
Suppose Alexandria is being used to catalog a large number of books - having colocolo send a "ctrl-n" prefix before an ISBN would cause Alexandria to open its "new book" dialog and be ready to receive the barcode.
