[Colladamaya-updates] News from Feeling Software: ColladaMaya, ColladaMax and FCollada

Despite the long silent on this mailing list, there has been a lot of
progress on the COLLADA products developed by Feeling Software. Please take
a minute to read these important changes:

 

1.	Feeling Software is actively developing ColladaMaya, ColladaMax and
FCollada. These products are released under MIT license and can be
downloaded, with source code, from the Feeling Software web site
(http://www.feelingsoftware.com/), in the Products-->Download section. Each
of these products has evolved a lot in the past months (e.g. support for
COLLADA 1.4, including FX and Physics), so I invite all of you to read more
about them and to try the latest versions.
2.	Please follow the requirements carefully in the download section. In
particular, ColladaMaya now requires installing Cg 1.5 Beta 2, and Nima
(PhysX for Maya) requires installing the PhysX runtime.
3.	Due to frequent reliability and performance problems with
Sourceforge, and in an effort to improve its support infrastructure, Feeling
Software has hired a system administrator who is currently setting up a bug
tracker, forums, mailing lists, RSS and subversion (SVN) mirroring of our
open-source products. These additional services will be free. I will send
another email as each of these new facilities become functional. We expect
the first batch of support infrastructure to be available in a week or two.
