I have installed colinux 6.2 and perfectly works, but
both 6.3 and 6.4 does not. This is the error message:
from 6.3

C:\coLinux\vers-6.3>colinux-daemon.exe -c
..\default.colinux.xml
Cooperative Linux Daemon, 0.6.3
Compiled on Sun Feb 5 20:25:03 2006

error initializing
daemon: exit code 8866e401
daemon: error - CO_RC_ERROR_ERROR, line 441, file
colinux/user/daemon.o (67)

the same error is from 6.4:

Cooperative Linux Daemon, 0.6.4
Compiled on Mon May 29 22:19:09 2006

mapping cobd0 to
\DosDevices\c:\coLinux\images\Fedora5-2gb-ext3.img
mapping cobd1 to
\DosDevices\c:\coLinux\images\swap_device.img
error initializing
daemon: exit code 8866e401
daemon: error - CO_RC_ERROR_ERROR, line 441, file
colinux/user/daemon.o (67)

This is the configuration file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<colinux>
<block_device index="0"
path="\DosDevices\c:\coLinux\images\Fedora5-2gb-ext3.img"
enabled="true" />
<block_device index="1"
path="\DosDevices\c:\coLinux\images\swap_device.img"
enabled="true" />
<bootparams>root=/dev/cobd0</bootparams>
<initrd path="initrd.gz" />
<image path="vmlinux" />
<memory size="64" />
<network index="0" type="tap" />
</colinux>

I have also removed the initrd line, but no good effects.

I have also added /noexecute=AlwaysOff /NOPAE to boot.ini
without any positive effects. Could someone help me out ?
Thanks a lot
Al

    Your error message can be interpreted, that the driver is
    not installed, or a very old version is installed and is
    not usable.

    The "/noexecute=AlwaysOff" has no effect for the error
    message.

    Think, you have an old linux.sys installed or the upgrade
    was incomplete.

    Please open command prompt and change into your directory
    with old version of colinux-daemon.exe.
    Then type:
    colinux-daemon.exe --remove-driver

    Check, that the driver is not installed:
    colinux-daemon.exe --status-driver

    Reboot the system.

    Open command prompt in the new version. Install the driver:
    colinux-daemon.exe --install-driver

    Check the driver:
    colinux-daemon.exe --status-driver

    It has nothing to do with your error message, but remember:
    You should run Fedora Core with boot-options "fastboot
    nogui". Please change your line into:
    <bootparams>root=/dev/cobd0 fastboot nogui</bootparams>

    Glad that worked for you. I think we've identified the
    problem and will attempt to make adjustments in the
    installer/uninstaller.
