I've been running colinux .64-2 with slirp networking, using the later of the 2 Gentoo images on the sourceforge download site (2005.1). After lots and lots of emerge installs an updates in console mode, including gdm, gnome-light and xorg-x11, I have tried to edit the xdcmp section of gdm.conf, as per the colinux X wiki. I've done this in the past, with no problems. But now I cannot locate any gdm.conf file to edit. Nano keeps wanting to open a new file (I'm logged in as root). Therefore gdm crashes and I can't run a graphic display with Xming. I also did full config file updates with etc-update. Has gdm.conf moved or is it somehow no longer being created by default? Thank you. Elliot J. Lerner |
