I think one idea is using sbuml on coLinux.
http://sbuml.sourceforge.net/

this is suspending function of user mode linux.
and I think same suspending image can share both
sbuml on native Linux and sbuml on coLinux on Windows.

of course, it runs on user mode.
so you can run untrusted VM safely.
