I definatly think that running as a service should be a goal of the project.
Although there are plenty of uses for it running as a program there are
many more that would be better as a service.

In most situations where it would be installed on a server to provided a
dual os server as a service would be the way to run It so that the machine
does not have to be left with an administrator logged in.

Also there are probably many situations where a user of lesser priveleges
may need to log in or use services running under coLinux from their
windows session.
