Now I'm stuck at another thing. It seems that the coLinux Debian has 
very little main memory. Bigger programs don't work. Sometimes apt-get 
quits because of insufficient memory. If I gnome2 is running apt does 
not work at all. Is that the normal case?

I'm using debian-testing.

My machine has got 512 MB of physical RAM.
