Hi, it could be true that your connection is slowed down, but not that you can't use colinux's networking feature :-) You can still use M$ Loopback driver and use pcap to connect to this connection. PCap is slower than TAP, but it works. It shouldn't slow down your connection. The question is how would you like to route this connection, if you need that. My connection setup is one Loopback for communication with host and one real NIC for lan/internet. it works perfectly. For local X Win I use TAP, but you probably won't.
