If you prefer not to edit it on the console... using nano or vim or what = other editor your linux install has... you can copy it to a windows = share using smb. mount -t smbfs //<winsysname>/<sharename> /mnt/net -o = uid=3D<youruserid>,gid=3Dusers,user=3D<windowsusercode>,password=3D<windo= wspassword> Something like that! Perhaps the order of options is wrong.
