Hi, My first coLinux install was 0.6.1 so perhaps the installer scripts = changed; but I never did an uninstall before upgrading/downgrading = between 0.6.1 and the later snapshots. The TAP driver is automatically installed from the coLinux installer and = will be upgraded/downgraded along with coLinux. Keep in mind that your system might not come up properly after the = upgrade because the coLinux partitions might be named differently: = /dev/cobd/0 instead of /dev/cobd0. That's what happened to me when going = from 0.6.1 to the latest snapshot. Symptom: failing fsck Remedy: fix your /etc/fstab. Easiest way is to do that the last time you = boot into the old installation, rather than having to do it from a = single-user console on a read-only mounted root partition ... ;-) success, --Tim -----Original Message----- From: col...@li... Subject: [coLinux-users] Recommended procedure for upgrading to latest snapshot I have WinXP-Pro on a Pentium4 hardware. I am planning to upgrade from coLinux-20040417 to coLinux-20040622. I think coLinux-20040417 was a development snapshot after release 0.6. So essentially I am going to skip release 0.6.1. What is the recommended procedure to do the upgrade. Should I do an uninstall of coLinux via Control Panel->Add/Remove->coLinux ? I don't see any entry for the TAP driver in the Add/Remove list. Thanks.
