mainly stuff adding /dev/cobd? entrys disableing boot into X11 disabling any
hardware dectection stuff

Which leads me to my next question, which is just *what* sort of changes
  are made to those other Linux installs?  I presume part of it involves
creating extra "/dev" entries for coLinux.
