Hi everyone, My name is Fernando Botelho and I am responsible for F123 (http://F123.org/en), a project that enhances educational and employment opportunities for the blind in developing countries through FOSS and training. I have recently learned about CoLinux, which would help us with a number of important challenges we face, but the 3 volunteers helping me with that are facing all kinds of problems and I was hoping someone from this list might be able to help. Our objective is to have an EXE file that installs F123 (which is based on Ubuntu 12.10 using Gnome Fallback) on a Windows 7 machine. As this GUI is not a default option on ubuntu 12.10, here is more info https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/ReleaseNotes/12.10 A fourth developer is helping build the new version of F123 using live-build, but the 3 focused on the CoLinux challenge are using a pre-configured CoLinux version of ubuntu or Xubuntu with 12.04 or something, and are trying to upgrade to 12.10 + Gnome Fallback, and getting all kinds of errors. I am not the technical guy in all this, I am just the one that best speaks English. I was hoping someone could point the way either to create a CoLinux Ubuntu 12.10 with Gnome Fallback using live-build or some BASH script. Upgrading an older version just generates errors with the sound and other packages, which for the blind are quite important. Thanks, Fernando |
