Initial Comment:
I would like to use 'systemd' on my VM as a faster sysv-init replacement. However, it needs a relatively recent kernel -- at least 2.6.36, but the newer the better -- and the following options:

 * CONFIG_DEVTMPFS=y
 * CONFIG_CGROUPS=y

Optional (required for systemd-readahead):
 * 2.6.37 or later
 * CONFIG_FANOTIFY=y
