[coLinux-users] Latest snapshot (21.5)

Hello,

I've upgraded the TAP driver in the latest snapshot, so let the setup
reinstall it - otherwise it won't work.

On unrelated news, I've added support for multiple virtual NICs in the
snapshot (i.e, eth1, eth2, etc.).

after analysing the patches i saw, that it doesn't too much differ to my 
  own tries. the result = it doesn't work for me :-(

is anybody else there, who has same probs?

Hi,

Since the list archives aren't searchable (yet?), I was wondering what the best
method of rolling out a new snapshot is? Obviously saving off the colinux.xml
file, but is there anything else?

there is a new feature in the latest snapshot - you have always to say 
where is your config file. so the next snapshot needs not to backup your 
default.colinux.xml, because you should save your copy under something 
like my.colinux.xml and this wouldn't overwritten by installer. if you 
have your own batch/icon for colinux, which starts it you have nothing 
else to do.

Cool.
How do we install multiple virtual TAP adaptors to go with them?
I tried the add hardware wizard, but it just insists there is already one
installed.

Here's step-by-step what I do on XP:

Settings->Control Panel->Add Hardware->Next->Yes, I have already... 
->Add a new hardware device(bottom of list)->Next->Install it manually...
->Next->Network Adapters->Next->TapWin32Project

I hope the rest is clear from there on.

Is alias support functional yet? If so, what else should I do other than 
adding in config file?
