My apologies. The problem was that the Internet Connection
sharing was not set up correctly as a result of the change of Local
Area Connection.
I hope this helps someone else.

Subject: Upgrade to 0.6.2 pre 1 - network problem
Date sent: Wed, 15 Sep 2004 13:33:14 +0100
Upgrading to 0.6.2. pre 1 on Windows 2000 with Fedora 1 image.
I have uninstalled 0.6.1 and installed snapshot 20040910 in its
place. I first made sure I had removed both the service and the
driver of the old version.
The install went fine and the new colinux worked first time with the
same configure file to my Fedora 1 image.
First problem. VNC could not locate it. This is because the new
installation had created a new Local Area Connection 3 alongside
the
old one which had not been removed in the uninstall process.
I set up the new connection with correct IP number and VNC now
works.
Second problem. I cannot connect from colinux to the outside
world e.g. yum list updates hangs. This is because it cannot see the
outside world (ping fails). It could before.
Also, I cannot delete the old Local Area Connection 2.
What has changed?
Thanks
John
