Hello,

After a few checks, it seems that an elusive init_ISA_irqs() call was
causing problems.

I wonder why it didn't crash my Linux 2.6.x or Windows 2000 boxes. I guess
these two are more 'similar' to this Linux kernel version when it comes 
initializing the interrupt controller.

Anyway, here's an new snapshot:

BTW, I've also started uploading the Monotone [1] log of the tree, it's
