Hi, I have the same problem (0.7.3,2.6.22.18). It hangs (infinite loop), stopped with CTRL-C. If with an other console I enter in the directory I'm deleteting, I have ... /bin/ls: TMP7.ASM: No such file or directory /bin/ls: TMP8.$$$: No such file or directory /bin/ls: Tstbotau.h: No such file or directory /bin/ls: Tstbotma.h: No such file or directory /bin/ls: Tstbxana.c: No such file or directory /bin/ls: tstbxana.lst: No such file or directory /bin/ls: TSTBXANA.O: No such file or directory /bin/ls: tstcmini.c: No such file or directory /bin/ls: tstcmini.lst: No such file or directory /bin/ls: TSTCMINI.O: No such file or directory /bin/ls: tstini96.c: No such file or directory /bin/ls: tstini96.h: No such file or directory ... These files before was in my directory I'm deleting. After CTRL-C, the files are deleted, but the base directory exists. I can remove it with rm and all is OK. This is for me. Hi, I repeat that this is the main download link : http://xoomer.alice.it/paolo.minazzi/console-gdi.zip Hilany Cheng and Daniele say that it is not possible download my zip file. I think they have some filter. For these persons I have uploaded the same version on rapidshare. It is the first time I use rapidshare. I understand that on rapidshare the file can be downloaded only 10 times...I'm sorry for this .... This is the rapidshare link : http://rapidshare.com/files/182195706/console-gdi.zip An alternative link (infinite download) is http://mio.discoremoto.alice.it/carlominazzi select console-gdi.zip and click on "Scarica" that is "download" in italian language. As Henry says, it is based on 2.6.22.18, colinux 0.7.3. Modified ntdriver, vmlinux and daemons. Please (to avoid crash!) use those of my zip file (reinstalling my linux.sys). Thanks for interest. Perhaps a side effect from trying to print with ALT-Print-Screen. Sorry for false alert. -- Henry N. |

Here is a screen shot: http://www.henrynestler.com/colinux/screenshoots/Console-gdi-60x120-by-paolo.png It's nice to see. It's simple and runs. Very good works the copy and paste via mouse. Hi colinux users, after had trying for a while my SDL console, I have written a new version using directly the win32 API. This new version is very light. Feature : cut/paste : ************ copy : select moving with left mouse botton paste : press the right mouse button It works from/to other windows. setfont : ************ You can change font runtime using the linux command : Examples : setfont lat4a-12 setfont lat4a-10 setfont lat4a-08 setfont I'm interested to know if there are some problem. Very interesting if there are some problems using cut/paste with different keyboard layout (I think it should be all OK). Where to download: http://xoomer.alice.it/paolo.minazzi/console-gdi.zip The archive contains all executable and driver. Please use colinux-daemon --remove-driver to remove your current driver Unzip my zip package, for example in C:\NEW cd C:\NEW Install the new driver colinux-daemon --install-driver Type go.bat to start Important : edit configuration file "norm" to adjust your cobd0 (so it can point to your harddisk image) Thanks, Paolo |

Under userland NtFileInfo the times are all 0, but the FILE_BASIC_INFORMATION inside a FILE_ALL_INFORMATIONS works. This can check with the tool FileTest.exe from www.sysinternals. From a ntkernel ZwQueryInformationFile (used for cofs) gots wrong date code, and perhaps also wrong flags. The other problems are by Windows opend files, for example C:\pagefile.sys. Such file got an error for 'stat' or 'ls' on cofs, because they can't open for reading attributes. If someone could help me get this working, then Linux would basically run natively from within Windows without requiring any new partitions. That would be awesome. WUBI puts its linux image in the location C:\ubuntu\disks\root.disk So I modified the example.conf file to say cobd0="C:\ubuntu\disks\root.disk" But alas it does not boot properly. But you need to prepere some thing before you can run it. I don't know all. First, install please the modules manualy. The modules are in the file vmlinux-modules.tar.gz in your coLinux directory. Run WUBI and unpack the modules file as root with this command: tar xzf vmlinux-modules.tar.gz -C / Check, on what mount point is your file mounted. It is something like sda1 or hda1. WUBI does not know "cobd0". Use the mount you found from running WUBI and replace the cobd0 in the colinux config with this. Remove initrd from colinux config. For the first boot, bypass the normal runlevel to have a simple shell. Add this to your boot parameters: init 1 or init=/bin/bash I think there needs more work to bypass the loop mount. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Henry N. (henryn) Date: 2009-01-04 20:09 Message: I'm afraid, that WOBI does not use a raw single partition in the file. Category: None Group: v0.8.x (devel) Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Problems with Cisco VPN client and CoLinux ethertap Initial Comment: Hi all, I noticed a problem with the Cisco VPN client and CoLinux ethertap. My Colinux has two virtual devices: 1) A slirpd (this is used for Internet/Default GW) 2) A tun/tap devices (used for speeding up X11) After I installed the Cisco VPN Client for Windows XP (32bit) I have some troubles. This goes away after deinstalling the VPN Client. My ethertap device has the IP 192.168.55.40 inside CoLinux and 192.168.55.1 on the windows side. The strange thing is i can ping the 192.168.55.40 IP from windows, but the Colinux side can't ping anymore the 192.168.55.1 Windows IP. That is strange. I can also ssh in Colinux using the 192.168.55.40 IP. Any ideas? Is this a ethertap problem? Bye and happy hacking. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2008-12-15 20:34 Message: This problem is indeed fixed by disabling the stateful firewall in the (UCLA) Cisco VPN Client via Options->Stateful Firewall (always on). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2007-08-09 19:44 Message: Logged In: NO Hi! Maybe I have an idea about this problem. If you install Cisco VPN Client for Windows XP, it also installs parts of the ZoneAlarm-Firewall as the intern firewall of the VPN client, as I remember. If you have a firewall installed on Windows (not ZoneAlarm), this situation can cause many problems, because the ZoneAlarm-Firewall sometimes activates itself for whole Windows and not only for the VPN-Connection. It can go so far that you have no more network connection any more because ZoneAlarm is blocking all connection. The only possibility you have, is searching the ZoneAlarm-Firewall driver in your system32-directory (a .sys file) and deactivate it in registry. If you have done this, and after an reboot, you can delete the driver and all other dll's from ZoneAlarm. Cisco VPN-Client is still working, but you should not have problems any more. Another advice with using Cisco VPN-Client and Colinux is, not using tun/tap on colinux while activating the VPN-tunnel, because you are loosing all your connections between Windows and Colinux over this connection. If you only use slirpd, everything works well. Bye ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Henry N. (henryn) Date: 2007-08-09 19:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=579204 Originator: NO Does VPN cliend perhaps enable a firewall for the tap on Windows side? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=622063&aid=1770815&group_id=98788 |
