first you need to add empty space ot the end of the file with a tool like cygwin dd
then in colinux you need to use tune2fs to remove the journal then resize2fs to resize the filesystem
 
then if you wan't you can use tune2fs to put the journal back

How can you make the hard disk images bigger? Or can you. I downloaded the 2 gig gentoo disk. Built a couple things, and now have no space to compile and install mozilla..
