I have colinux set up and running, and even managed to get vnc working. On the windows end, I am using tightvnc.
However, I tried to run emacs and it failed with this error:
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1.0".
Undefined color: "black"
After googling around a bit, I'm not sure what I'm missing. Most of the results seem to suggest that the vnc viewer needs to have randr support, and that tightvnc does not currently support it. On the other hand, I went through the absolute minimum effort needed to set up vnc and X - perhaps I need to create some xorg.conf that will be used by the vncserver?
Or maybe I just need to try a different VNC software.
