Hi, I have setup colinux with networking on an asus laptop, sharing a wireless lan connection - no problem.

Now, trying to setup colinux on a dell laptop to share a wired lan connection, and it is driving me around the bend.

After sharing the wired connection with TAP, I can ping 192.168.0.1 from colinux ONLY if the network cable is unpluged. When I plug cable back in, I loose packets.

I tried bridging natively and using winpcap, and neither of these seemed to work either.

    Any ideas? Thanks, Groggin.

Sorry, I have sorted it out now.

Bridged connection wasn't working because I thought I had pump installed for dhcp - but I didn't.

I had to first assign a static ip so I could download pump. Then got it working.
