Would it be possible for someone to create a FC2 base installation, along the lines of the FC1 one.
I am not in a situation where I can create even the tiniest installation in order to create the necessary disk image.
I am very pleased with the Debian 3.0 r2 image and would like to do some testing under FC2.
I've tried to install FC2 but I can't find an installation medium. I copied the initrd file from the DVD I have FC2 on, from Linux Format, to my HDD and parsed it as a boot parameter. The installer comes up, I can select language and keyboard layout? but it then asks where i am installing from. Upon selecting any of the disk based solutions, it prompts for a driver disk. Any ideas?
you can upgrade easily from the fc1 image
just pickup the fedora 1 colinux image;
change the repository to fc2 repositories
it worked for me :)
remenber to do it from a clean fc1 image or it will be screwed up
What changes need to be made to change the repositories?
if i remenber right the list of repository is in /etc/apt/sources.list
just nano it and paste in a fedora 2 repository
I'm in the same trouble now
