Running coLinux 0.6.1 on XP Pro SP1 with the Debian
image provided (Debian-3.0r0.ext3.1gb).

After configuring default.colinux.xml, running
colinux-daemon.exe -c default.colinux.xml causes
coLinux to immediately crash with an exception at
offset 0x0000af85 in colinux-daemon.exe.

Console output consists of:
-----
Cooperative Linux Daemon, 0.6.1
Compiled on Sat May 29 16:20:11 2004

daemon: loading configuration from default.colinux.xml
-----

I've attached my default.colinux.xml, but I can't see
it being a configuration issue because (1) I've barely
modified it, and (2) I've tried removing configuration
items one-by-one and nothing seems to change the end
result.

Yes, I did rename my root filesystem image to root_fs,
and yes, coLinux is installed in c:\coLinux.

Any ideas?

    Steve,

Notice there are 3 bytes at the start of your
default.colinux.xml file. Those are added by some editors
and are called the Byte Order Mark or BOM. coLinux doesn't
understand them and removing them will fix your problem.
