I had the last version of CGT installed, and ran it
yesterday. It told me I needed to update to the newest
version (2.3.0)... so I uninstalled my current version,
installed 2.3.0. OK, great! I didn't get to run it
after installing as it was bedtime. Just now, I ran the
new version and it told me I needed to update to the
newest version... Ummm, OK? Maybe there was an update
while I slept, I dunno, with I7 out things could
change. OK, so I uninstall 2.3.0, download another
2.3.0, and install 2.3.0 again. OK, great!

I run it again, and it tells me I need to update. What?
I don't ever run unstable builds because I don't *want*
to deal with bugs and instability and such, so I
*CAN'T* update the 2.3.0 to anything above 2.3.0
because 2.3.0 is the highest stable build available!

I have NO CLUE how to fix this, and I wasn't/am not
doing anything weird while installing/running.

I just noticed I have version 1.2.0 in my list of Add or
Remove Programs, which it shouldn't be there because I don't
have any CGT installed except the latest 2.3.0 - however,
when I go to uninstall it, it hangs a few seconds on
"Preparing to Remove..." and then gives me the error "Fatal
error during installation" with only an OK button.

There's no reason for that 1.2.0 to still be there, because
I always uninstall before I update upon any stable releases,
and I've never seen it listed there before.

Hmm, that's really strange...it probably does have something
to do with the old version being leftover somehow.

Try this: Under your CGT folder (C:\Program Files\City Game
Tracker), right click on citygametracker.exe. You should
see a file version at the top of the "Version" tab...just to
be sure, confirm it really is version 2.3.0.

Assuming it is, I'd suggest doing another unstall, and this
time, deleting the CGT folder afterward, in case something
is being left on the system for some reason.

If that doesn't work, send me an email
(admin@citygametracker.com) and we'll try and figure things
    out :)
