Cognitive Engine: Experimental AI Cognitive Architecture

Cognitive Engine is an open-source experimental framework for exploring artificial cognition beyond the conventional request-and-response model of AI software.

The project is designed as a modular foundation for developing intelligent systems capable of coordinating multiple cognitive processes, maintaining contextual information, evaluating incoming data, forming internal representations, and producing responses through structured computational workflows.

Rather than treating an AI model as the entire intelligence system, COGNITIVE ENGINE explores an architectural approach in which models can operate as components within a broader cognitive environment. Memory, reasoning, perception, decision processing, behavioral logic, state management, and external information can be organized into cooperating subsystems.
