Meeting at UniSA, DIA. Participants: Vittorio Scarano, Ilaria Manno, Giuseppina Palmieri, Furio Belgiorno.

Objective: come out with a list of priorities for the release 4.0 of CoFFEE, that is due on nov. 14th

Schedule: Nov. 12th hand - off, 13th build and quick test, 14th upload.

Decision: the new final version of CoFFEE is going to be "4.0 CoFFEE Cream" and will include as new features: movable bar between categories and threaded: spanish version. Bug fix: latecomer with the same name in the co-writer creates problems.

Tentative list of priorities: follow 1 to 9 for the version 4.0. Then follow the others...

  1. Documentation: check the version sent by the motherlanguage, update Lesson Planner (export/import), updated screenshots (LP), "CoFFEE under Vista", "CoFFEE in a networked environment", "how to add/change templates in the LP" (Manual) - (status: we are waiting the english review to finish the images refinement; we have to replace in the User Guide the architecture picture, some sreenshot of the warm up, adding a paraghraph with web sites about CoFFEE)
  2. Welcome screen on the Class Editor
  3. Fix installer (categories, reorganization.. according to Noam mail)

  5. Templates and default sessions in every nationalised version
  6. Description of tools in the SE/LP, the description is in english
  7. Eliminate the help from all the applications...

  9. Nationalised choice of colors in the SE (at least in italian!)
  10. No Finish button in single step session (only in italian!) (__'status: done)
  11. DocumentBrowser: change the port (since 80 is used by the Streaming), improve/change the server (dependancy on cygwin1.dll, shutdown), improvement of the client (bring the InternetExplorer tool in it), enable/disable of the buttons, better configuration (still has the url, but should be used to point somewhere on the local server), IE bug (cache disabled from the server disallows to download and open .doc, .xls, etc.)
  12. Internet Explorer tool: synchronous navigation with the teacher, synchronous navigation driven by anybody (cowriter like), communication with other tools (does the copy and paste works?)

Unordered list of priorities (postponed to post 4.0, post Lead)

  • Flexibility of the controller: go back and forward in the steps, checking with the reload and the replayer.
  • Emoticon on chat, threaded, graphical (?)
