Hi again

A while back I asked about recovering sessions lost when Controller crashes, and back then all I needed to do was open the trace file and add </trace> </document> to the end. A couple of days ago I did this but it didn't work, and in order to recover the session I have to cut and paste a whole lot of xml info from the end of a successful session (the stuff I copied was from the same session script, and the info I copied across looks like the stuff at the very beginning of the trace file).

Does the new versions of CoFFEE close the trace files differently? If so, is there an easier way to recover crashed sessions?

Cheers
David

    Hi David,
    Thank you for your report.

The current version of CoFFEE uses the same trace format of the previous ones, although we known that there are some problem with crashed sessions.
However, adding </trace> and </document> to the end of the crashed session usually works. Maybe you have encountered a another problem. It would be useful for us if you could attach in this report both the crashed session which didn't work and the recovered version.
Keep in mind that attached files will be publicly available. If you prefer, send me a message and we will find another way to get the sessions.

    Cheers
    Ilaria

    Hi,

I could not reproduce this, but It only happened when we 'Loaded a Previous Session' then shut down, CoFFEE seems to produce the excess xml at the end of the file then, even then I could replicate this all of the time so you may put it down to human error/something weird. Have a look though

    Cheers
    David
