Sorry... wrong system/versions... FWIW/FYI it actually was:
$ rpm -q httpd mod_perl
httpd-2.0.52-22.ent.centos4
mod_perl-1.99_16-4.centos4
[not that it matters]
jack (who wasn't paying attention to what box he was on at the time)
