Steps to reproduce:

Enable line numbering.
Enter 1500+ lines into the editable area - best way probably by pasting some prepared text.

You will notice that after line number 1500 follow lines number 1,2,3,...
Notice that the line right after line# 1500 has no number.
The text in line #1501 (the new #1) is typed between new #1 and #2.
