To reproduce this: Press (for example) the right arrow key and hold it down. Then release it - the cursor continues to move.
(This is CodeCommander v0.9.4, not CVS)
I think this is caused by a GTK problem. Try changing to
a faster theme (like the default) and see if this is still the case.

It is still the case. I used the sawfish themes "simple" and "Helix-Gray" (which I believe is the default).
Both didn't help; I even restarted CodeCommander to test it.
By the way, this problem is even worse when you type text fast.

On a PIII-750, running enlightenment, sawfish OR fvwm running a wide variety of windowmanager and gtk themes the cursor/scrolling is equally slow and jerky.
The problem most definately does not lie with the window manager or GTK widget set.
