This project was created in 2011 on Google Code to provide a PC-based real-time demonstration of the then new Codec2. A user could speak into a microphone and hear the encode->decode result on the speaker.
Codec2 has since gone through subsequent design iterations and there are PC software tools for ham radio operators.
