I as to settup the definition of a language, when I saw that CB seems to ignore it. Then I've tried to set it up from the admin account. It was working. But obviously, as soon as I get back to the user account, this was not working any more.

I've tried to delete all configuration files : CB opened with a black back-ground window. Normal.

I've copyed all the original config files every where, and opened CB again. Was working fine. Ok.

Then I tried to figure out where the problem comes from, and tried to delete configuration files one by one, to see which one was the one realy defining language settings.

And what a surprised, when I arrived to the last one : the global configuration files, delete it, and saw that all language was heighlighting normally, while trying to open the local of global configuration files from CB obviously gave me an error saying that files did not exist.

The first time I've delete all *.cbc, CB was lauching with a black background, with no heighlighting at all. The second time I do the same, it works as if every files was still there.

Added to that the troubles I meet while attempting to defines a language, I feel I'm not sure to understand how *.cbc files works.

Hope someone at ease with config files will read an tell me what can explaine this behaviour.

P.S. Personal message to Marc : je t'ai répondu aujourd'hui, mais apparement certains de mes mails sont pris pour du spam par ta boite mail. Si tu ne reçois rien, dis moi.

      Success, it works now.

Explanation : do not expect do delete a configuration file from CB the view by just renaming it. It scans all files, I say "all" files, in the "code-browser/config" directory. You may even have something like "abcdfoo.bar", it will work as well.

This explains the "strange" behaviour I meet.

THe language definition now works, I do not know why, perhpars a matter of casing, I'm not sure. What ever, just take care about the casing of name of the language you define.
