#3 Terminates on Load

I downloaded the latest version of FTP Client
(2002-10-09 15:00), double clicked on it to run it, the
icon appeared in the Dock and promptly disappeared.

This happens consistently.

got more info on the issue, seems a problem with paths, here

This looks to be due to a framework not being present (or at
leats I get the same problem).

Look in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/FTPClient.crash.log

OmniBase seems to be missing, for me at least. Well, I guess
this is from Omni.com, or similar. Will be trying to install
it at a later date, and will let you know if it fixes my
problem (which may also be yours)
