Thanks, very professionally done. All checked into sourceforge
CVS now, and the tests are part of the test suite. I found a
minor bug in tests 22/23 where in printing out the "actual" the
x[0] element is printed as x[i] which gives wrong output though
the tests work. I fixed this also I added a printout of test
numbers to make it easier to find out what is happening. 

Unstring is still up for grabs, or anything else you may care to
do now or later,
