Tom, I'm not sure which version you are talking about - the original C version or the new Lisp version. The original version had code that was not assigned to the FSF. Also it does not work with the current GCC trunk. I think both of these would be show-stoppers. Normally they wait until the language is more or less working before incorporating into the GCC SVC tree as a branch and then at an appropriate time onto the trunk. The lisp version is too early. There are disadvantages to being in the GCC SVN so I want to get as as far as I can before uploading the code there.
