Tim, have you thought about getting the current cobol CVS tree
converted and added to the GCC subversion tree now rather than waiting
until you have everything else ready?

I'm not sure which version you are talking about - the original C
version or the new Lisp version.
The original version had code that was not assigned to the FSF. Also it
does not work with the current GCC trunk. I think both of these would be
show-stoppers. Normally they wait until the language is more or less
working before incorporating into the GCC SVC tree as a branch and then
at an appropriate time onto the trunk.
The lisp version is too early.
There are disadvantages to being in the GCC SVN so I want to get as as
far as I can before uploading the code there.
