Quite often you may want to exclude directories from the backup, however the current wildcard exclude facility does not support excluding directories.

An example of a folder you may want to exclude is the build/encode folder of a DVD project which contains only encoded copies of the video/sound files which are available elsewhere in uncompressed form. In this case you would want to exclude all folders named "Build" from the backup.

Please could you include directories in the current wildcard exclude system or as a separate directory based wildcard exclude system.

Thanks

David

I just had someone ask for this very same feature. I think we should try to get it moved up in priority as it would be useful. They were wanting to exclude temporary internet files from their backup, and this would be an excellent way to get that done.

I agree, this feature request should get a higher priority. I have asked for this since I began to use CobianBackup about 2 years ago...

    Thanks!
