#2 sherlock module doesnt finish pre-processing files

im trying to run the sherlock component on an xp
machine.
I asked it to compare two 17kb text files .
I can get the program to start, and i can set the source
directory and configuration options, but when i start the
comparison, it just sits there saying "preprocessing files"
and never seems to finish. i left it for 20mins then gave
up.

is there anybody there that can help?
