Cobado M6809 Micro BIOS/Server / Blog: Recent posts

Coming along nicely.

Well, coding is progressing nicely. I have the bulk of the features I wanted. I managed to write the BIOS in just under 256 bytes. Tonight I'll be working on remote app's. ie: You will be able to write an app on the server, which will run on the CoCo.

That should expose any last issues in the design, while expoding the number of possiblities for future features.

Cheers
Derek

Well, believe it or not...

I only just started this project this morning. The idea came to me just before I was going to sleep. I had to get up again and code up a quick BIOS. Within a few hours I had Vcc interfacing with the Windows disk system. All though a BIOS which fits into the cassette buffer. ie: Under 256 bytes.

Tonight I added binary loading/saving, and BASIC file loading/saving. While looking though the CoCo's BASIC assembly, I found the RS232 functions, and they look like a direct match to my Becker functions.... read more
