    I am referring to http://www.keithv.com/software/giga/

It says Both verbalized punctuation (VP) and non-verbalized punctuation (NVP) LMs are built.

What is the meaning of VP and NVP?

    Thanks.

    My guess.

VP: punctuation is being said in the transcript. Say. "How are you doing?" would be said as "How are you doing Question Mark?".

Thanks. For ASR applications, VP language model will not be of much use, will it? Nobody speaks the punctuation marks IMO.

You are training an LM. True.

If you are training an AM, we are probably talking about a little bit more data. Of course, you also need to make sure your transcripts always describe the waveforms correctly.

    Oops.

"You are training an LM." -> "If you are training an LM."
