i've a question, related to processing a manufactoring order.
My case:
I define a product, using the 'Product' window, and an associated BOM with some lines, using the 'Bill of Materials' window. In the manufactoring order i choose the product and the BOM together (and any other, thats necessary). Then i process this order to the state 'In Progress'. (target type 'Manufactoring Order')
I've determined that - doing this - won't reserve these products, that are contained by the lines of the BOM, but booked them as ordered. I'm confused in this behaviour, because i've assumed, that materials, which are needed to produce a product should be reserved from stock and not ordered. Or i'm wrong?
Isn't it furthermore legal to say, that a ordered quantity only can be booked by a purchase order. Otherwise i'll have a ordered quantity in the system without any purchase order. Is that right?
Many thanks for help!
