Hi. I have been trying to set up this nice extension to
nfs but I have a problem with the $$HOST= $$ tag. It
doesn't seem to work. $$IP= $$ works fine. I have
everything set up as it should be in /etc/hosts* .

I examined the debug output and nfsd looks up my
hostname properly. Is this tag working properly or
could I get any insight on how the host lookup is done
by clusternfs?

Thanks,

James Cook

James, what version of cNFS are you using?

Try backing down to v 1.0.0, where this was known to work.
There seem to be bugs in the v 3.0.0 release candidates.

Hi. I am using clusterNFS 3.0. I have the package clusternfs-
    3.0rc2.suse-0.

Unfortunately I can't test version 1.0. The system is up and
running and I can't take it down. We just used the $$IP= $$ tag.

    Thanks. It's a nice program.

    HI,

I think that there is a problem with the documentation.
    Try all the following files:

    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Aug 5 19:20
    zzzz$$HOSTNAME=nova$$
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18 Aug 5 19:56
    zzzz$$HOST=nova$$
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18 Aug 5 19:50
    zzzz$$IP=172.16.99.99$$

The keyword is not HOSTNAME but HOST.
As yo can see I can write into file with keyword HOST and IP.

    Thanks,

    Jean Aumont
