After you chose file mode and 2D view, in the same window opens new tab with 2D visualiser.
The delay time between nodes i and j is an intersection of i row and j column (i column and j row) in the matrix.
Left side of the tab is info zone and right is zone where all visualisations appear.
Note: all visualisations are opened in new windows inside the dark gray zone.
In the info zone there are 3 tabs:
1. To Do - where you choose how to visualise the delay data.
2. Data - information about test, tested system.
3. Hosts - list of nodes with their names (?).
Mainly you'll need To Do tab, other tabs are only for information.
This tab is divied on 3 sections:
1. State - shows is window loaded or not
2. Load window - section, where you choose which window should be loaded
3. Show - section, where you operate with visualiser.
Firstly in Load window section you should set the interval for window, which would be loaded, then press Load button to load this window to visualiser. To adjust the length of the message drag the slider above the visualising area. After all preparations are done, press Matrix button in Show section to view visualised matrix of delays.
Now in the visualisation area appeared a window with control buttons and visualisation of matrix of delays. Darker colour shows longer delay, lighter colour shows shorter delay. To view delay time choose it in the visualisation area or type its coordinates in Position section. It appears in the third box near Zoom button.
Note: press i button to hide info zone.
To adjust the value of delay below which all delays will be painted white and the value of delay above which all delays will be painted black , use sliders on the left and right side of visualisation. Left slider controls the lowest value, the right one - the highest. To save the visualisation to graphic file use Save picture section.
To zoom in the visualisation, adjust the size of rectangle of the zooming area by drawing rectangle in visualisation area or by entering coordinates of delays below the visualisation in Position section.
Also, you can view delays for single node. Choose the node by entering its number or turn on update from current matrix option to choose it by clicking in the visualisation area. To view visualisation of delays of recieving messages from other nodes to chosen press Row button. Column button shows visualisation for delays of sending messages from chosen node to others. The logic structure of these visualisation windows is the same as for matrix.
In this file mode the viewer just simply visualises delay matrix.
