I have it compiled on windows and linux. I recommend to get the latest snapshot from CVS. First thing you've got to do is to run bootstrap and then cd to build/gcc. I create a build file my self which works for me.Here it is #!/bin/sh # Bootstrap, configure and make CLucene. # echo # echo "Running bootstrap..." # echo # cd ../../ # chmod +x bootstrap # ./bootstrap # cd ./build/gcc/ tgt=/usr/local/lucene echo echo "Running configure... (install into $tgt)" echo ../../configure CXXFLAGS=-g CFLAGS="-ggdb -DLUCENE_DISABLE_MULTITHREADING -DLUCENE_EXPORTS -DCOMPILER_GCC" --prefix=$tgt echo echo "Running make..." echo make install Note that I compile without multithreading. Hope it helps! John On Tue, 30 Nov 2004 17:57:25 +0000, Joe Jones <jo...@th...> wrote: > Hi > > I'm trying to build 0.8.12 in my linux machine (gcc 3.3.1).
