It compiled out of the box, with no setting of variables on my Debian
machine.  I ran demo and tested things out a bit, it looks great.

The util programs looks pretty useful too, I have not tried it out.

Because "demo" and "util" are pretty generic (I have another project
that also has an executable named demo) maybe we can preface the
executable name with "cl_" or something.

What are the outstanding bugs, todo's, and features you refered to ?
