Install Clover

Clover is written in PHP, Javascript, and HTML, and therefore, it is platform independent. To run Clover you need a HTTP server with PHP and Mysql installed, and this server should have a static IP address. Of course, you also need a web browser like Firefox or Chrome.

Server setup

The easiest way to do this is to install XAMPP or WampServer, or you can install everything by yourself. You could also chose Microsoft Internet Information Services. If you use XAMPP, you can chose the light-weight portable version (no installation needed). Make sure to take security seriously.

ONLY USE XAMPP 5.* which contains PHP 5.*. Clover will not work on XAMPP 7.* which uses PHP 7.*!

If you know nothing about HTTP server and Mysql, simply download XAMPP, install it, start Apache and Mysql, and follow the security setting guide by visiting http://localhost/security/index.php.

Setup Clover

Download Clover and extract files to a folder called "clover" and then put into the Web Pages Folders (if you use XAMPP, it is called "htdocs").

Make sure the HTTP server (Apache if you use XAMPP) and the Mysql server are running. Open webpage http://127.0.0.1/clover/setup.php in your web browser. For security concerning, this setup page can be only visited on the server computer (i.e. IP address 127.0.0.1 or localhost). An account setup webpage will show up.

Create an account, and you will be led into the Clover system.

What to do next?

You need to import data to the Clover system.
