1) Does Bespin have its own window decoration?
I want to achieve this effect of window decoration
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/X?content=110240
the athor says it is Bespin, but I compiled Bespin and don't have any window decoration. I refer to this three dots for minimizing,..., clozing window.
Now it looks like this:

I have oxygen as window decoration set.
2) As you see on my screenshot I have this bluish and grey colors in Dolphin. Bluish is from theme Umi. Please, can you give me a tip where I can change this colors and pick for example dark blue instead of grey and turquoise instead of bluish.
3) Can I set the width of scrollbars?
4) Can I set the number of pixels from the edge of the screen to scrollbar? Because in firefox when I move mouse to the right site of the screen the mouse doesn't touch the scrollbar and I always need to correct the mouse position to hit the scrollbar. I would like have this lenght between secreen edge and scrollbar minimal.

1) yes, of course ;-)
It's however built conditionally, ie *only* when using cmake as buildsystem and *only* when required dependencies are found (kde-workspace-dev, notably)
You should then have some /usr/lib/kde4/kwin3_bespin.so and an entry in "kcmshell4 kwindecoration" (screenshot dialog)
2) Either "kcmshell4 colors" (very extensive and detailed configuration) or "bespin config" (colors page, supports plain Qt palette because qtconfig has no color settings under KDE and MAAAANY ppl. complained to me about the kde dialog ;-)
3) Yes, see "bespin config" - you can actually do much more
4) No, that's a firefox bug. Well, actually *what* you can do is to configure away the side (or bottom) window decoration, but if esp. FF has internal padding, there's nothing i could do (FF actually uses XUL which itself invokes Gtk+ which on your side likely uses the gtk-qt-engine to get to bespin. Firefox is neither really a Gtk+ not even a Qt style, thus style "compatibility" and functionality (regarding what bespin does) is *extremely* limited compared to native Qt applications (like dolphin, or arora/konqueror/rekonq for browser examples)
Thhank you for reply. Finally I managed to get Bespin Kwin decoration.

I installed another GTK theme and problem with Firefox is solved.
1) Please can you tell me if I can change title bar width? And make font of titlebar bigger?
2) I have this back line along title bar and above title. Can I get rid of it and make the whole titlebar one color, exept the three dots part on the right?
3) I see that you chose some very strange names for colors, like for example Text (text editor). Why. It is not very intuitive.
4) I see that some inactive icon names look very fuzzy, for example in Kickoff in second tab programs before I select something. What is the specific option to ged rid of this fuzzyness? I want to have them in less intense color bot not fuzzy. Is it possible?
Can you also tell me if I can achieve in Bespin similar effect as in this screenshot from Gnome 2:
http://img22.otofotki.pl/obrazki/bk917_zrzut_ekranu.png
I mean this gradient of color on menu bar and column bars. Ideally I wish it was possible in KDE to pick an element of interface, for example menu bar, and choose option - gradient (of two colors, or just shades of one color - but shades are actually two different colors).

"kcmshell4 kwindecoration", click "configure decoration" - there's tilebar padding in the "layout" tab.
KDE fonts are configured in "kcmshell4 fonts" - all those config modules are also accessible from systemsettings

This part of the actual titlebar look is controlled from the style, "bespin config" / "KWin decoration hints" (to allow the titlebar colors & gradients follow the actual style in the window)
Set gradient to "none" and color role to "window"
> 3) I see that you chose some very strange names for colors, like for

Those are the color (role) names used by Qt - and the "Text" color is not exclusively used by text editors.
> 4) I see that some inactive icon names look very fuzzy
Actually all disabled icons/text should look the same

Icons: yes
Text: no
Kickoff in particular: i'm not even sure whether the style draws those (I'll have a look next time i launch plasma)
> I mean this gradient of color on menu bar and column bars
Why do you call it column bar? It is not very intuitive.
;-P (The thing is called Toolbar in KDE/Qt World)
Check "bespin config" / "Windows" / "UNO" - it will allow you to draw ONE gradient covering the menubar and optionally the toolbar(s) and titlebar
The KDE2 look of bricked elements (which is actually much simpler to do ;-) is for Qt4 afaik only supported by QtCurve and skulpture
Thank you. Now I played with all this options a little more and have the desired effect. What I would suggest, if possible, is creating a web page with some screenshots from most popular KDE applications like Dolphin or Gwenview or other and showing - by arrows or/and description - to which element a specific option in Bespin refers to. That would help a lot especially for people how are new to KDE.
Anyway, thank you for creating such a beautiful, great theme.

Can you tell me where exactly I can find settings for titlebar text. On active window I have this white shadow or let's call it background under window title. On inactive window there is only one black text. How can I have on active window the same setting as on inactive?
2) Regarding picking a two colors and have transition between them for at least for window background. Would it be possible to create such option for Bespin. I think it should be possible in KDE but never mind, if it could be in bespin it would be great. As you can see on screenshot at the top I have a color that I picked but on the bottom there is only grandient and this looks terible. I'd like to pick to dark colors and create smooth transition between them.
1. There's no config for font rendering. I just wanted to sharpen the text on the active window. Turns too white in your setting (i guess the code predates the ability to invert the background gradient)
2. I come to think we were talking past each other. You mean instead of a(n inverted) cyan gradient you want to select two random colors for the background gradient?
I don't know what you intend to do, but i'm not too keen to "allow" backgrounds floating from green to red or whatever. The gradient is supposed to support the light model, ie. shift over the value (and ultimately saturation) but not the hue.

So? Is there anything I can do about it?
If it is something with code will you change it?
> So? Is there anything I can do about it?
Hardly. The issue is that the highlight is calculated from the background color what fails due to the negative gradient and the relatively "high" saturation.
> If it is something with code will you change it?
Yes of course - it's however not a trivial issue, so i couldn't fix it "just by the way", sorry.
The latest svn revision should work for you (though it's not entirely ideal either)
Please have a look.
It looks ok now. Thank you very much.
