I'm generally against holding generated stuff in the repository. It tends to cause unnecessary conflicts. The guy who coordinates SVN development seems to agree: "In general, version control should only contain things that are "source", i.e. not derivable from other things. " [0]. Now, that doesn't mean you should never do it. As Fintan explained me, the CLOPS interface, which is generated, is in the repo because it makes bootstrapping a non-issue for newcomers.
