I have recently set up clonezilla server at my place of business and when I hook the server and clients up to a 10/100 switch everything flows flawlessly but when I hook the server and clients up to a gigabit switch the client can get as far as the DRBL server page and then when they try to boot into the clonezilla option it looks like everything is working and then when the client tries to start clonezilla live enviornent , it says that there is no nfs over tcp on my servers address. Keeping in mind while hooked up to the 10/100 switch the clients fire right up and can pull and throw images like nobodies business just not at gigabit speeds. Also, both switches are unmanaged switches so they should just pitch the IP's being sent from the DHCP in DRBL. Please help, I'm stumped .

This is weird. If your gigabits switch is unmanged one, then it should be quite straightforward. Did you try to use different one? Maybe the issue is on the gigabits switch hardware.
We have used many gigabits switchs for Clonezilla SE, and they all works very well.

Is there possibly special setting I have to add to /etc/network/interfaces on the second nic to make it run in gigabit instead of 10/100 because my settings are just the basic ones to set it up statically. This is how the second nic is set if that helps.

      eth1

      Auto eth1
      Iface eth1 inet static
      Address 192.168.40.62
      Netmask 255.255.255.0
      Broadcast 192.168.40.255

And it works fine on the 10/100 switch.

I tried two of the same model gigabit switches. All three of the switches are netgear and unmanaged . The third switch being the smaller 10/100 switch.

No special settings are required. I still think the issue might be on the switch hardware itself.

I also noticed that it takes quite a bit longer to grab an address from the gigabit switch which seemed odd to me. I'll try to get ahold of another switch to rule out hardware . Although the switches in question work with Symantec Ghost so I tend to think they are in working order.

Do you have different brand of gigabits ntework switch you can try? Maybe the issue is on the hardware firmware so if you use the same model, the bug is the same.
