Got the same over here using clonezilla-live-20150805-vivid-amd64. config:

I believe your case is different from the above.
Please try to add "union=overlay" in your boot parameters. Actually you'd better to check the boot parameters in the file syslinux/isolinux.cfg in clonezilla-live-20150805-vivid-amd64.iso.
