Hi,

Specs;

Windows 7
Virtualbox 4.3.26 - with extension pack
laptop with 4 USB 3.0 ports

I'm trying to use a clonezilla image I made on my computer in virtualbox. I create a virtualbox image 40GB in size and format it ext4, then I start VirtualBox starting clonezilla from iso images; 20150217-vivid & 2.3.2-22, but I had the same problem with both versions.

Clonezilla boots up in Virtualbox, I placed my clonezilla image on a usb western digital my passport ultra 3.0 and a usb flash stick, but same problems with both, when it comes to the screen for local_dev, I press enter, then in VirtualBox I click at the Menu > Devices and I pick either the wd usb drive, or flash stick,then I wait, and hit enter, but they never appear in Clonezilla.

I can't get them to show up, so what is wrong, shouldn't this work?

thanks

    Is your Linux inside virtualbox able to access your external, physical USB device?
    Sometimes the host machine will compete with virtual client machine...

    Hi,

    I gave up and just installed from scratch and then later found out Virtualbox doesn't support 3.0

    Sorry for the report...
